The ripple effect of one-on-one soul care was my introduction to Christianity. I became a Christian in the 80’s & in those years, the emphasis was on one-in-one discipleship & small group training. The idea was that those you were called to disciple would in turn then disciple others. I happily engaged in intimate settings of small groups & spent hours in one-on-one soul care. The ripple effect of this relational soul care was amazing & beautiful. It anchors us deeply in a relational faith with Jesus & left a lasting impact on how I approach spiritual formation.

A ripple that multiplies begins with a single drop. Scripture reminds us that God multiplies what we place in God’s hands—the loaves & fishes, the nets cast out with hope, the woman offering a few coins. In the same way, your partnership with PAX is magnified again & again as our alumni invest in others.

When you give to PAX, your gift doesn’t just touch one life or ministry —it creates waves of soul care that extend through our participants, alumni, & the countless people they walk alongside all over the world! In this magazine, we would like to introduce you to some of these people who we have had the joy to intimately train & companion through PAX.

Inside the issue, you’ll discover eleven “ripple effects” of soul care, as Iela reconnected with, & interviewed alumni who are living out God’s call to love our neighbors as ourselves. Our hope is that these stories inspire you—not only to continue journeying with us as a financial partner, but also to practice soul care & ministry in the unique ways God is inviting you.

This year, we are prayerfully seeking to raise $60,000 to strengthen & expand the reach of PAX. Every gift—whether large or small—is a drop that creates ripples of hope, healing, & transformation.

At PAX, we seek to hold a posture like Mary of “whatever God asks of me I will do.” Thank you for being part of the work God continues to invite us to do, for believing that investing in people bears fruit a hundredfold, & for helping us carry forward the mission of PAX.

  • Yes! If you know someone you’d like to fund to take one of our programs you are welcome to specify in your donation, provided that person is registered for a program.

  • The answer is yes. Monthly donations help us plan for the long term, and one time donations give us a great boost for specific years. Both types of donations support our work in meaningful ways. However you choose to donate, you are part of our community.

  • Yes! As a non-profit, our financial support includes both individual gifts as well as support from foundations. Both are needed.
