GUIDED GROUP SUPERVISION

Come listen, share & grow together.

Welcome to Guided Group Supervision!

As spiritual directors, it is enormously important that we remain attentive to our own journeys with God. One of the ways we are invited to do this is through peer or group supervision.

At its heart, group supervision is a form of group spiritual direction—a sacred space to notice and explore what is stirring within us as we hold space for our directees. When we have a place to process our own experiences, we are better able to remain present to our directees and meet them where they are in their relationship with God. We can trust that we have our own space to explore how their stories and questions may be influencing our own journeys.

Guided Group Supervision offers an eight-month commitment to ongoing support, community, and professional development, led by seasoned spiritual director Carrie Schuliger.

During each 90-minute gathering, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Connect with and learn alongside fellow spiritual directors

  • Reflect on your own experience as a director

  • Explore clinical and practical questions that arise in your work

  • Receive guidance and support as you continue growing in your practice

You don't have to be a spiritual director by yourself. If you're longing for community, support, and seasoned guidance as you navigate this ministry, Guided Group Supervision is a space for you.

Meet Your Facilitator, Carrie Schuliger!

Hospitality, simplicity & contemplative prayer characterize my practice of spiritual direction. It is an honor to join others on their journeys with God, & I am always delighted by God's loving presence on the way. I offer individual & group spiritual direction, lead contemplative retreats & enjoy working with church leadership teams.

I have been practicing spiritual direction since 2005, hold a Master’s degree in spiritual formation, a certificate in spiritual direction & continue to benefit from ongoing supervision.

I am married, have three adult children, two sons-in-law, & a grandson. I enjoy hot coffee, long walks, & outdoor swimming. My foundational devotional practice is lectio divina & I am currently exploring the practice of writing morning pages.
