This is Rama
MEET OUR FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AS WELL AS THE LEAD TEACHER FOR OUR INSTITUTE TRAINING PROGRAMS!
Hi, I’m Rama!
Most days you can find me exploring a new place to walk or trying not to drink my third cup of coffee…
I am known for making great pancakes and asking deep questions.
People often refer to me as fun. When I was younger, this seemed like a good handle in peer group settings. As I got older, it began to bother me as I wanted to be thought of as more than “just” fun. But now I embrace it! I recognize what a gift it is to be able to play and help others do so as well. My life is marked by a deep desire to enjoy God and the gift of one another.
“I love serving God by listening and noticing God’s love with and for others while guiding them into listening. I will be a spiritual director as long as God’s grace enables me :)"
What I am most passionate about in life is my family. One of the greatest joys is being a Mother, and now a Grandmother! I am now very ok as my daughter’s sing their refrain, “Rama is a really fun Mom!” I am ready to be a fun Grandmother :)
Through PAX, I teach and serve people who are yearning to grow closer to God. It is a privilege to guide people into practices that help them to connect with God and experience His transforming love. I believe the church can be an agent of change through listening, and a place to experience the love and acceptance of God.
When I am not busy working for PAX, you can catch me reading mystery novels or watching mystery shows on Brit Box with my husband. You will also catch me hiking the mountains of NH and enjoying an afternoon by Newfound Lake.
If would like to hear more, here are 6 things you might not know about me!
I am the daughter of immigrant parents and a first-generation college student.
I can understand Dutch but wish I could speak it!
A few years ago, my husband and I went on a walking pilgrimage in Scotland and are taking another one this Summer!
I love lots of mayonnaise on my sandwiches and I make my own mustard.
I was not raised a Christian and came to faith later in life through studying philosophy in college.
In my younger years, I spent 13 years as a corporate banker with a passion for integrating faith and work.
I would love to connect with you! If you have a thirst for being with God, or aren’t sure where to start, I invite you to explore our program offerings coming this fall &/or reach out to me at ramapax@gmail.com if you want to hear more about an upcoming cohort.
